How to choose your Cuba trip?
The duration of your trip determines which regions you can combine without constantly driving. For a first visit, our itineraries 10 to 14 days cover the classic route Havana, Viñales, Cienfuegos, Trinidad with a beach stop at Cayo Santa María or playa Girón. The 15 to 20 days formats allow you to add Oriente, Santiago de Cuba, the Sierra Maestra and Baracoa, without sacrificing pace. Beyond that, we design trips of 21 to 25 days that include the northern cayos and true immersion in the countryside, with tobacco-farming families in Pinar del Río.
Different trip types
Our cultural trips focus on colonial architecture, Afro-Cuban music and meetings with artists and musicians, with evenings in the peñas of Vedado and workshops in Callejón de Hamel. Our adventure itineraries feature hiking in the Sierra del Escambray, diving at María la Gorda and horseback riding in the Viñales valley. Family trips alternate short visits, swimming at the cayos and fun activities like learning salsa or a day at a finca meeting horses and pigs.
What is the best season?
The dry season runs from November to April with temperatures between 22 and 28°C, low humidity and clear skies: this is the peak period, particularly from December to March. The wet season runs from May to October, with tropical showers in late afternoon and real hurricane risk from August to October. We generally avoid scheduling trips between late August and early October. May, June and November offer an interesting compromise: slightly higher temperatures, fewer crowds at sites, more flexible casa rates.
